ABOUT THE PROJECT

With the great evolution of smart detection technology, the project will support this development and focus on constructing a multiple-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system that operates in coordination with other drones. The system of UAVs first takes off then distributes to achieve maximum coverage and simultaneously sufficient bandwidth. The system serves numerous markets, where it can have cameras and sensors depending on the consumer’s needs. Initially, the team is targeting crowd management and surveillance in stadiums. The objective is to have multiple drones with two-way communication controlled from a ground station.

The goal was to utilize drone use to monitor an entire area while taking into consideration the angle of the camera, the number of drones, resilience, power consumption and mission time. The benefits of this project include being able to expand the application to large groups of people, corporations, and military monitoring. This mission is met with the assistance of Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC) in Qatar Science and Technology Park’s (QSTP) hands-on equipment and lab access. They aided us in the background research of this field.
